Christmas list....new jacket?
A varsity jacket (wool with leather sleeves) is on my list.
Who has one? Where did "Santa" get it? What was the price? How was the fit & quality? Any comments...

I have the Varsity Jacket with wool blend body and leather sleeves and leather collar. I bought it from the Corvette Forum store. I think the price was $189. I note that it is $149 from Corvette Central for the same jacket. I would prefer the knit collar, but couldn't find it anywhere other than one vendor. The cost for that jacket was $287. I thought that was a bit much. The coat is very warm. It is perfect for this time of the year in Minnesota. It would be far to warm for summer wear. Hope this helps. Dan

I take that back. That is not the same jacket I have. Mine does not have the snaps on the outside. Rather, the snaps on mine are under a wind flap. It does have the collar in leather. It does not have "Corvette Racing" on the left front breast. It just has the C5 emblem and Corvette underneath on both the front and back. If you look at most of the Corvette catalogs and related websites, they all show the varsity jacket of the type that I describe. They describe it as an "upscale" varsity jacket. Prices range from $149 to $189, with $189 being the most common price. It is a very nice jacket. Dan

This one is made by Reed. I got it from Mid America. The collar is knit. There is nothing on the back. I am 6'0", 190 lbs and needed the XL because I have long arms.
