lesson learned

Default lesson learned

I needed some parts replaced on my 98 converible. Center air dam. Rear splash sheild and a new center consol clasp. The Chevy dealer was $200 more on these simple parts (installed). So before you have a dealer do work, you may want to go to a VetTech type shop

Or, one could order them from one of the Forum vendors here and save even more money installing them themselves. Most of the parts you mention are easily installed.

Sometimes the learning process is easier than you think plus the knowledge is invaluable.

The items you mentioned are not difficult at all to install. But, you are right, you can save a lot of money if you can find a shop to do the work other than a dealer.
