And over 200 people killed each year by these big-eyed monsters. Had one hit me in the driver's window of my Tacoma (Still picking glass out of my left ear). Almost came in the cab with me... Someone asked me later if it killed the deer. I told them that I certainly hoped so, but I also hoped that it died a slow and painful death.

They need to be exterminated completely!

Every one should be using animal alerts, (deer whistles). Don't laugh they work, $ 6.00 for a pair of the passive type, just stick them under the bumbers or fascia where air can run thru them, or install an active electical unit which can be buried back in the engine compartment.

I live in the northern portion of southern Ontario and I used to have animal encounters, deer mostly, the odd moose at least once a month. With the animal alerts I still see the odd deer but they are always on the move away from the road now. I've been using them for 10 years and have never hit a deer or moose. I had a lot of close calls and a few touches from deer but no damage without the alerts.

I don't have them on the Z06 yet, just bought it in Aug but I have had to use the brakes 2 times for deer. Just bought an active type and am installing it before I go on the road next spring.

I don't hunt deer, but I certainly encourage all the hunters to get out there and cull the herds.

Default In mine the deer lost!

On sunday night on the way back to columbus on 75 north the deer lost! So did my vett took out head light and right finder hood and windsheld so far the cost is 5k and i am sure it will go up as they dig deeper into the car.

so the real bad thing is i am now driving a ricer! wish you could get a better rent a car when you put a vett in the shop and drive home a ricer

But i came out ok, but the deer expired (10 points) and i only used a 35k car to kill it

Next time i hope i can use a gun and save alot of trouble

Sorry to hear about that. Happened to me as well in a company car a few years ago. Deer are a big problem in central Texas, as well.

Even though they are 3/4 scale, compared to the deer in Pa. where I grew up, the damage that they do when hit at 65mph is pretty scary.

I'm very paranoid when driving the Vette at dawn and dusk around here.

Where can I order these online?
I hit a deer with my dually pickup last month. The damage is $5700. Ins company wants to total my truck. I will be fighting them on that.

I was so thankful I wasn't in the vette when it happened./ I want to get the deer whistles for it.

Define "win"?! At least we don't have to worry about them suing us and having to pay their medical bills and legal fees
