Overheard someone the other day saying that a company was building heads for chevy 350s that use two sets of injectors.
The first being a primary set and the second set that act like secondarys on a 4 - bbl aspirated engine.
Anyone heard of such a thing before?
I'll try to get additional information as soon as the guy get back off of a business trip.
Never heard of it, and not sure if it would be cost efficient. With the PCM controlling fuel flow, if it can be programmed to flow a second set of injectors, then it could be programmed to control the flow of some large flow injectors in the same manner. In addition, one set of injectors would cost less, since there would be no further machining required to fit in a second set of injectors. (Unless second set are located in the intake manifold, which has been done before.)
