C5 Convert Trunk Dimensions?

Can anyone measure the trunk dimensions? Can you fit 2 full sized sets of golf clubs in it? I heard the C6 trunk will be smaller - as noted on one of these threads and this is an important item to me. It will be my weekend car - and this is what I do on the weekends.

I can get two lightweight bags in mine with the top down, but it's tight. Not much room left for coolers, shoes, etc. Top up... no prob.

60" wide at the back
46" wide at the wheel wells
38" front to back
about 12" deep.

From the back of the trunk to the edge of the top when it's down is about 22".

Big 'tour style' bags might be a problem. Never tried that.

We have two light weight bags and don't have any problems at all. This was a very big selling point for me. And yes the C6 is definitely smaller. With no compartments in the floor of the trunk. I put a lot of stuff in those holes. Compressor, jack, plug kit, and safety kit.

When I was looking at the C6 vert during the Cruise In it seemed that with the top down the C6 top goes right to the floor while the C5 still has some room between the top and floor. I've used that little bit of extra space more than once.

esp. triplex - I appreciate the numbers and it doesn't look like a C6 vert is an option for me.

Cargo volume (cu ft):

C5 Convertible: 13.9 w/Top Up; 11.2 w/Top Down

C6 Convertible: 10.4 w/Top Up; N/A w/Top Down

I saw the C6 convertible trunk volume with the top down not too long ago but couldn't find it again. But, the C6 volume with the top down is considerably less and, to the best of my memory, only about 1/2 of that of the C5 with the top down.

My wife and I make several road trips of a week or so each year and one would be surprised as to the amount of luggage one can get in the C5 convertible. Last trip, we had two 22" roller type carry-on bags, a full size garment bag (laid flat under where the top folds), a small 10 can ice chest, a small camera bag and the wife's pillow and we were still able to get the top down. My wife doesn't travel anywhere without her pillow but it does help to protect the top when it is down from the other luggage.

The C6 Vert/trunk is 25% smaller. Bigger trunk I like, my wife works for the airlines and she takes all the space. I just bought a 04/Vert, better looking and bigger trunk.
