Exhaust Questions
I want to upgrade the exhaust in my '98. I put a Borla system on my '90 and the resonance was so bad I took it off and sold it.(sounded great outside and at W.O.T. but inside was unbearable) What is available for the '98 with no cabin resonance? It appears alot of members are changing to the ZO6 exhaust. Does it bolt right up. All input is appreciated. If there is no option without the resonance I'll stay stock. Thanks.

Hmmm...I would suggest riding in some cars with different set ups...what may be OK for them will be horrible for you...I have the Borla Stingers and love 'em..some folks hate 'em...

I have the Borlas and love them, and I also get almost no resonance!!!

I have Borla Stingers on mine and have had them on forabout nine months. I love them and even my wife thinks that they look
good and sound great inside the car and out.

Put on my Borlas last week, Love um. After reading the post using Frost King, I started insulateing behind the seats , wheel wells and trunk floor, WOW what a differance. Next I will put that carpet devider between trunk and seat area, as I have a vert . Dramatically cut back on the vibrations. I like it

Having had most of the systems that are on the market for C5's, I would like to throw in my .02 for the Magnaflow system. I currently have this system on my 97 6 spd and I love the sound. I also installed an x pipe which made a small difference, but there is no resonance in the interior at all. I had resonance with all of the previous systems. Although this is not the loudest system out there, I feel that it is the best compromise for a louder system without any resonance.
As I have mentioned to others, you should listen to some systems in person before you spend the money. I have resold several of the systems that I have purchased, here on the forum and EBay but you will take it in the shorts on the resale cost.
