c54dan, as I said in my earlier post, since the actual owner didn’t post the picture I made the comment. Making negative remarks about someone else’s car is out of character for me, and it was a stupid thing to do. I truly am sorry for the comment and wish I had never made it.
$100 per wheel. That included sand blasting to remove all the old paint and 2 coats of gloss black powdercoat. The real trick is to find a good tire guy that won't mess them up mounting the tires...
what about the center caps? did you just hand paint them because they are plastic? is it not standard to sand blast the rim before they powdercoat them? the other question i have is do they do the whole rim inside and out, or just the arms or whatever you want? the chrome on my y2k's (before wife bent two of the) was peeling on the inside of the rim. not the part the tire covers, but the part you see when you have the wheel off the car. i cannot tell from the pic, but it looks like the whole rim was done. i think that would be best.
