There aren't any trim differences except for FRC, ZO6 and Coupe. With or withour Body Side Moldings. The main differences are other engine upgrades. Obviously the best of them is an 04. All upgrades were done by then.

Somewhere Around The Middle Of The C-5 Run The Key Hole Was Deleted On The Passenger Door. I Am Sure Someone Can Tell Us. I Think It Was 2001 But I Am Not Sure.

Different wheels, deleted key lock and exhaust tips are all I am aware of.

Wheels and exhaust were the first things to be changed on mine. It's still got dealer plates on it and it's been mistaken for an '04 at least a dozen times already (it's a '99).....

Actually 97 thru 04 are the same body style. Not counting Verts or FRC's.

Default Differences

Lots of upgrades over the life of the C5 - but nothing really cosmetic. It's probably the least changed generation of all. No gills to egg crates, no flat to swervy instrumnent panels (like in '90) no change in front end caps (or rear for that matter), like during the C3 and C4 runs. Personally I would have liked for GM to make more changes to the C5 and run it for 3 more years before we got a 6th generation. If you didn't know the difference in wheels, you couldn't tell the difference in years at all without getting really close. You can consider it good or bad, according to your likes, but that's the way it is.
