Plan on keeping your car for at least 3.5 to 4 years. You will most likely be in negative equity territory for that long.
That depends solely on the size of your down payment.
OTOH, it might make more sense to finance 100% of the purchase at 0% interest and invest the lump sum you would have used as a down payment in something safe but fairly liquid, so if you do have to sell you can pay your way out of the bucket.
yes they are. it didnt come out at the start of the month, but is now available on all 04s until tonight
Well I bought an 04 last week or so on November 20th and it was 1.9% for 72 months and 0% for 60. I checked GM's website and talked to the dealer today and they say no such offer exists in the country. I'm in Wisconsin and that is just what I've been told by my dealer, and GMAC.
I saw the commercial for 0% for 72 months on TV several times in the last 2 days, so it has got to be out there. I am also from Wisconsin.
I just checked gmbuypower.com and it does say it is available until 11/30. That sucks I guess I wasn't getting the truth from the dealer. But since its only available for another 1 hour and 1 minute and every dealership is closed. I guess it really does not matter.

Could you please explain to me why does the months of finance have anything to do with how long you keep the car? The value in 1 yr 2 yr etc. is the same if you pay cash, finance it at 0% or 5%. If you buy a new car when you sell it you lose,(unless you think these new C5s are going to appreciate like the C2s and C3s, and if so plan on keeping it for 20+ years) you are basing your amount of time to keep a car until the payoff exceeds the balance due. You are comparing apples and oranges.
Last, but not least, a 2002 Coupe is in the current NADA(Dec 2004 Eastern Edition) for $29,550 wholesale and $33,650 retail. So if you buy the car today for $39,000 with 0%/72 month and decide to get out in 24 months your payoff will be $26,000, is getting $29550 less than $26,000?
Sorry, but I missed your point, please explain.
