I reset my fuel gage average MPG and drove my car conservatively for 1 week. My average MPG is 13.8
Curious what everyone else's MPG says on their DIC.
Somethings up...we get a minimum of 18 - 20 mpg in city/suburban driving with our 2003 A4. On the highway, it's 26 - 28 mpg, even with relatively 'spirited' driving.

I'm getting the same mpg city/highway with my '98 A4 Vert and I normally drive 80mph on the interstates occassionally "nailing" the pedal when passing or changing lanes.
Good luck finding your issue! I'd start by checking airfilters, plugs, tuning, injectors...
Got an honest 27 MPG on my last road trip of over 600 miles. That was mostly highway and with cruise control set at 70 MPH. Around town it's about 18-20 if I don't wind it up while shifting.

Dunno - I suffer from that affliction called in medical textbooks as "leaden foot syndrome". My car is "in powerband" a lot - even when I do not need to be
A4 2000 vert. 23-24 local trips, 28-29 long trips. Have seen 32 when driven very carefully for extended miles. All from 345 horses! Who could complain with that kind of gas mileage. It's FANTASTIC.
