Default Drag Radials Stolen

For the last three years, I have parked my open trailor in front of my office with out any problem. There have been five tires on the tire rack for most of that time.
The tires and wheels are locked in place by a steel tube passing thru the wheels and thru the rack. A master lock locked all this in place. Aren't master locks supposed to indestructible?!?

Anyway, when I got to the office, the tires and wheels are gone, the steel tube was layiang in the bushed, and who knows ahere the lock is. Curiously, they left the spare tire for the trailor.

So, this is a request, especially to anyone around the DC Baltimore area, to be on the lookout for these wheels and tires.

They are:

Two AFS, 11" wide ZR-1 style, silver wheels with BFG 315 drag radials that are just about done.

Two 8 1/2" wide Grand Sport front wheels, black, with fairly new 275 Nitto drag radials.

These wheels fit C4's and C5's. Do they fit any other car?

You can bet that I will be checking all the Vettes when I go to the track. Don't buy them from these creeps, If you do, and I find them on your car, you will lose whatever you paid, and I will take my wheels. This was told to me by the cop who took my report.

Some "deals" are not as good as they seem.

Sorry about ranting on this, but I am pissed.

I sure hope you had your license number or a serial number on these. If not it will be almost impossible to prove they were yours!

Sorry to hear that someone decided to live off your hard work. Hope you find them and that they pay.

They can be picked, but that takes some skill. The easy way is to drill through the brass keyway using a cordless drill with a 1/4 inch bit. It takes less than 10 seconds to open the lock...

Sorry to hear about your wheels.

Man, that really sucks! Good luck in recovering them.

Sorry to hear about your wheels.

Some even have code numbers on them. All you need do is write to master Lock with the code number and they send you a new key, its that simple.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate your thoughts.

I guess I've watched too many Super Bowls because, after seeing the Mater Lock add year after year I believed I was pretty secure.

Now I gotta come up with some way to prevent the whole trailer from disappearing. It's chained to a four inch stair railing, but it has another stinkin' Master Lock.

Master locks can be cut with a simple pair of bolt cutters.
Sorry to hear about your lose. That is one reason why I didn't like living in the Baltimore DC area. To secure that trailer while you still got it, put a wheel lock on it. It is basicly a long U lock like they use on bikes. Put that on the wheel that is lock nutted on. Most all U locks can't be bolt cutted so they will move on to something easier. Thieves sux.
