Default pressure sensor

Im sure this is a simple question. How and where do the pressure sensors show how much air is in the tire. How does it work? Since I dont have them nor never seen them I have no knowledge of them. Also can I put them on my car? 01 Z06. Thank you.

As far as the first part of your question, the readings show up in the Drivers Information Center (DIC) in the Gauges section as the last two cycles of the display press and cycle thru temps and the second to last is the Front L R and the last is Rear L R pressure. The car is equipped with 4 battery powered sensors attached to the valve stem inside the tire. There is a receiver inside the gas cap area that transmits the info to the computer which in turn displays the pressure readings on the DIC. Once you reach 15 mph, the readings change from blank to a value in psi which is updated realtime. To the second part of your question, I'm not sure if the Z is equipped with the receiver, nor do I know if the DIC has this info available for a Z06. I'm sure if it can be done, someone on this forum has done it.
