I like keyless too, IF, they had a bypass key cylinder to start the vehicle, in case the remote gets destroyed accidently. As it is, you can get into the vehicle without a remove, but you cannot start it.

Obviously I'm used to using the key, but I guess I could stand not having to use it. I just would want a back up system in case the push button doesn't work.

Do you key lovers also unlock your door with the key? I'm sure that this thread will get some laughs in C6 general. Personally I think that C6s suck because the extra 50 HP puts it over the top.
Had a Honda S2000 with that sexy red button...still needed the key but thought it was very cool....some Mercedes have the starter button on the top of the shift ****...also very cool

I bet they had this same discussion when the self-starter was invented:
Say, Bert! How do you like that self-starting motor? Myself, I prefer the hand-crank...more reliable, I say! Just can't trust those new-fangled gadgets you know...
I think what everyone is missing is that with a keyed ignition system, the key is almost indestructible, if you drop your keys in the water (and you have tied a float to the key chain, common with boat owners), you can still start the car. If the remote gets damaged, chip inside remote decides to go haywire, or if you drop your keys in the water with a float attached, you are screwed. (If they are lost or stolen, there is no big difference.)
You can enter the back of the vehicle, then open the door, but you cannot start it.
I'm not against a keyless system, I'm against a backup in case something happens to the FOB.
I am not against new fangled contraptions; in fact I love 'em. Also this will not prevent me from purchasing a C6 next year; since I have already figured out a way to counteract the occasional destroyed or defective FOB.
