I looooove the 4.10s I recently put in the back of my Firebird. On the track, I get a lot better launch out of slow corners than I did with my 3.42s. On the street, it's a hoot, and gas mileage is unchanged, largely because I use higher gears more often. On the freeway, I just leave it in sixth and go.
My only complaint is that I wish I had another 500 rpm on the top end. My LT1 rev limiter is set at 6000, which isn't a problem for the LS6.
Not sure of the effect 4.10s would have on an independent rear like the Corvette's, though, so better get some more data from the guys on this board who really know.

Thank you Pat. Has anyone tried this, or know anything about it?

Haven't had it to the dragstrip with the new gears yet. The clutch is getting "iffy," and I'm not much of a drag race fan anyway.
The car makes 261 rwhp, and on a perfect day, with as good a drive as I could muster, I'd be shocked if it went any quicker than 13.65 or so. Previous best was 13.97@101.25 with a 2.17 60'.
