[Z06] THANKS FORUM MEMBERS
we sold about 30 vettes off this promotion, so it was a huge success.

we really havent sold many used vettes off this promotion which i dont really understand, because the used prices were just as drasticly reduced.
.anyhoo, congrats to all the forum memebers on their new vettes at incredible sale prices.

Need to ask why...if Maxie Price is the #3 Seller of Corvettes in the World, you expect potential Customers to call your Dealership at THEIR expense? I may have over looked it someplace, but I have NEVER seen a toll free # assigned to any posts made by you or the 2 sales persons who regularly post to this Forum?
Secondly,WHY...WHY..is it,your Dealership requires a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit when ordering a Corvette? There may be instances that arise from the point a customer orders the Corvette and the time it arrives. Cases such as unexpected hardships arising, when he/she has to cancel and their Refund would be very helpful to their conditions...instead of your Dealership benefitting to their coffers.
These are a couple of questions I have been needing to ask for a while, but just haven't,due to all the Bashing going on towards your Dealership. Like another Forun Member previously stated..."They must be doing something right if they sell 600 C5's yearly.....
Best wishes to you!!

You don't get flamed for nothing..
thanks for the question, i'll answer it best i can.
we have tried toll free numbers in the past.
you get so many calls from unqualified buyers who just call because its free, that we made the business decision to forego toll free.
we figure most people who cant afford a 30cent call arent qualified to purchase a corvette anyway. (for this same reason, we dont advertise in free publications)
we also have made the business decision to only count cars as sold that have non refundable money on them. we sell alot of corvettes and are not willing to forego a sale to a customer who wants to buy the car because someone else out their "might" want to buy it in the future. if your not sure you want to buy the car, dont order it, just buy one out of stock. furthermore, we certainly arent interested in having a car delivered to an out of state dealership and then be forced to ship the car back to georgia at our expense if the customer changes his mind.
obviously, if something truly drastic happened to someone who ordered a car and they were unable to consumate the purchase, we would evaluate that deal on its own merits.
do you really think it is unreasonable for maxie price chevrolet to not be willing to pay for return shipping on a car someone ordered for california delivery and then changed their mind?
sorry, were not interested.
as for bashing,
sure there have been a couple of repeat posters here who repeatedly say we stink. only one of these posters that i can recall even ever bought a car from us.
their agenda is their own and i will not try to guess their motives. be it competing dealers, brokers or customers berating us on these threads, maxie price chevrolet has openly answered them all in this public forum. overall we are extremely pleased with our results in this forum and foresee a mutually beneficial relationship with the corvette forum in the future.
i appreciate the questions and they are always welcome.

Thanks for that particular answer...I am just in total amazement though, how the Dealership has retained its standing as #3,when you have just stated to the world, how "cheap" we potential Corvette buyers may really be(i.e."Can't afford a $.30 phone call"). Very interesting.
Thanks

Did they try to "qualify" your preparedness to buy and did they commit to actually deliver the car within acceptable timeframes?
Also, do they have an 800 number where I might call to get their best price?
TIA,
Nick

Noticed you hail from the backdoor of MaxiePrice territory(Loganville,GA) Have you tried there yet? They do offer Forum members a $500 discount, that is more than other supporting Dealers offer. I slap there (MP) back for that good Deed!! One of the Dealers I am with, has offered me a sizable discount from MSRP,only because I will be a 3-peat customer. The only hang-up with them is,they only have 7 promised Z06's for the 2002 model year(6 now, their first was Torch Red). So,since the Dealer does NOT dictate what color choice they receive(GM does),they literally could not promise me a MY Z06. THUS,My reason for going to a Dealership which claimed the #1 spot last year from Kerbecks(this is what they told me)...They sell at MSRP....In the week and a half since hooking up with them,I have moved up to the #2 spot on the Mil.Yellow list(was #3),with them saying I should have my MY z06 no later than the first of October. The deposits at both Dealers were a $1000. But,are refundable 100%!! So,whichever one produces me a TPW first will get my business.
