[Z06] Solved my detonation\knock problem

Detonation began in April at the 12K mile mark. Ironically it appeared after oil consumption went to the GM normal range of 1 Quart per 2000 miles. Also during that time in April I removed my screen on the MAF.
Here are the corrections I tried without eliminating the detonation.
* Put a stock Z06 MAF back in with the screen. Knocks still present.
* Changed the fuel filter. Knocks still present.
* Put in the SMH catch can PCV. Knocks still present. I do think this is a good mod and is currently catching oil that normally would be deposited behind the throttle body.
* Did the decarbonization proceedure and replaced plugs with the solid copper TR55. Gapped at .50. Knocks a bit less but still present.
OK this is what solved my Z06's detonation.
Are you ready for this.
OCTANE BOOSTER.
It took the second tank of Octane Booster for detonation to completely go away. The car now flat out runs strong all the way to red with not a hint of detonation\knock. I am so happy.
I am using "The Outlaw" Octane booster that comes in a four pack for $6.00. One cannister goes in before filling up the tank. Our gas here is only 92 for Supreme. One cannister brings Octane up 3 to 4 points.
I have come to believe the LS6 engine, especially with an aftermarket intake system may or does require more than 92 Octane gas.
Two things I am considering doing are:
* Changing out my plugs with a colder rating.
* Putting in 172 stat with a 185 fan controller.
Any comments on the plug change would be appreciated.
Hopefully my detonation experiences will help some of my Forum Friends.
