Just finished painting the calipers. Is it true that we should torque the lug nuts - and if so, at what number?
(I know - I could "do the search" or read the manual, but I feel like I'm doing a "general service" by getting this important topic out there for everyone to read! ).
Thanks!

I go 50 then 100 ft lbs in a star pattern. Shop manual calls for 100 ft. lbs. final torque.
Incorrectly torqued wheels cause rotor damage, and that ain't no
As Red Vert 02 stated, go in three steps. In addition, before lowering the wheel to the ground, tighten in a star patten as tight as you can get them, while holding the wheel with your free hand.
