Just received word that the GM system accepted my EB/black order today! I didn't think it would ever happen. Order number tomorrow and TPW info in a week or ten days.

You can check on the status of your order by calling Chevrolet Customer Service at 1-800-222-1020. All they need is your name and order number.....they do a computer check on the status while they put you "on hold" for a few minutes! I have used it and found it to be very helpful...try it, you'll like it!
Does this mean no more electron blues and help from Dr. Suess?

Thanks Frisky. Who knows what tomorrow will bring on the creativity front? With the car more certain I may now devote my attention to writing lyrics to a Country Western song to sing as I roll off into the sunset down that endless highway. Happy trails to You, and you and you and you. Perhaps I'll write a Budweiser commercial. How ya doin? (The use of the term Budweiser is not an endorsement by the CorvetteForum or by its members) The use of Budweiser by Forum members is a foregone conclusion.
I don't anticipate any more blues unless they lose my car at the plant or until the first stone falls off a gravel truck and goes KhaaaWhiiiiing off my EB paint job. Then again, there is always the first ticket. Nah, with my stealthy blue color they won't even see it. jerboa ]
Good information, I called and was told that my order was accepted and to check back in a week or so for a TPW (the real GM offical one). Based on Ken' news letter my TPW should of been 8/6/01 but was told by my dealer yesterday that it would be 8/13/01.
Two years ago when I ordered my last C5 this dealer was right on the money with his TPW.
So it looks like the plant may be running a little behind schedule.
My guess is that jerboa's will be 8/13/01 or 8/20/01 but we really don't know for sure until GM assigns one and gives us a sequence number. I'll be checking mine every Monday afternoon for the next couple of weeks.
Now I have to hope that mine will be built in time for a Labor Day delivery at the NCM.
jerboa are you doing a NCM delivery or a drop ship? I'm also in the Bay Area so maybe we'll have to meet up for a run when we both have our new EB Z06's.

Zippy-
I called the 800# yesterday, she put me on hold...to call the DEALERSHIP!! Whoa! Bet Les Stanford liked that call! [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/wink.gif[/img] Came back on line after a few minutes telling me she could not get hold of my Salesman(Kevin Will) and told me she WOULD be calling me back today at 3PM sharp...to let me know what is going on with the Order #...So,these 'hired' hands by GM,who by the way are not even in Michigan, one told me,he was on the Left Coast.....do find out info,or at least, try to!!

ZeeOh, I will pick up the car at the museum. We could race cross country from Bowling Green to California. I'm not certain the Bay Area is ready for two EB Z06s in the same place at one time. We'll have to ask the Mayors Brown, Willie and Jerry.

Zeeman,
Looks like if they don't find you in the system they call the dealer.
jerboa,
You might want to call the 800 number on Monday. It gives you a nice warm feeling when you know you really do have an order in the "GM" system.
