For all of you people that have sequence numbers for your cars, there has been a situation develop at the plant you may want to know about.
Last Tuesday the plant started the day at Sequence #914 and built 127 cars.
On Wednesday the plant started the day at Sequence #1041 and built 129 cars.
On Thursday the plant started the day at Sequence #1170 and built 130 cars.
So on Friday the plant should have started the day at Sequence #1300 but a computer problem for some reason jumped the sequence numbers ahead by 743 to 2043! They built 128 cars on Friday, so they started Monday at Sequence #2171. Up to 160 cars on Monday so Tuesday they started at Sequence #2331. The VIN's were running 28 ahead of the Sequence numbers, so now I think the sequence numbers are 715 ahead of the VIN's.
So if you had a sequence number and it seems a long way off, take this news into consideration, the plant has skipped ahead approx 1 week on these sequence numbers!

Zeeman, if you don't have your sequence number yet, it will not affect you. For those that are doing the math and following the numbers closely as to when there car is being built, it is news.

Please help me out. My order detail # is DKRWSP, 7/30/01 TPW, and a sequence #002737.
According to RAT's post my car was to be built today. It states on 7-26 Seq #002621 is the first to be built. Is my car being built today or are the numbers incorrect????????. Thank you, Nick

Corvette Canada,
How are you able to get the daily start seq#? It's great info, and my seq# is fast approaching, so I'm very interested. My car should enter trim Fri very early by my calcs, Seq#2817.

Corvette Canada,
Just got my Vin as the car is to hit the line @ 8 am friday!
It appears that the difference in seq & vin is -729. ie. seq#2729 would have a vin ending in 2000.
Can't wait for Rwdy #3!!!!!

Rwdyryd-Bob you are correct your sequence number should start tomorrow and finish on Tuesday.
X-muni, Nick your seq # should have you starting early on Friday and not next week.
They built 160 on Monday, but the avg is 128-130 per day.
Travis yours by my calculations should start around Thursday Aug 2nd, late in the day would be my guess.
