I was just reading the post about likes and dislikes (Z06ers -- What's the 3 Best & 3 Worst Attributes of Your Z06). It seems that the heat coming from the center console is worse in the Z06 than my old 2000 Coupe. I know this has been mentioned before, but will removing the pups from the 2002 make this worse. I've read the 2002 write-ups and was wondering if the new Cats will be even hotter, than previous C5's, to make up for having no pups or pre-cats. I hope not....

Joe, When I replaced my stock shifter with the ripper I covered the entire tunnel with heat sheilded dynamat. It made a noticable difference in heat and drive line noise.

I also beleive there is a even better heat sheild sold through mallett I think?

anyway hope this helps
