Default Question for ET about a book.

I assume many of us here have read the book "All Corvettes are red".

For those of you who have not read this book, I suggest you do. If you are like me, you will learn alot about how a new model is born.

I have a question for ET or anyone else for that matter, who can shed some forst hand insight on how a big car manufactor works. That question is how acurate was this book on the c-5 project. I am talking about how the various teams within GM didn't seem to have a clue what the others were doing. Secret 10 million dollar budgets, whole teams of engineers working on projects that GM didn't even know about? The whole thing sounded like it was from the twilight zone, and was jazzed up to sell more books and make for good reading.

ET how acurate was this book?

It will be interesting to hear what any GM "insiders" have to say. But having worked for a few "tiny" companies (in the electronics industry), relative to GM, I can say for certain that poor corporate communications, secret projects, and hidden budgets are pretty common place.

So I would expect that the book is accurate.

I too have read All Corvettes Are Red and found it to be a very interesting read. I also have the book, Corvette From The Inside, by Dave McClellan. I haven't red this book yet, but I've heard this is Dave's reply to All Corvettes Are Red.

To tell you the truth, I'd rather read about something you're gonna sell! I think your stories are just too funny! I have some stuff you can sell for me and I'll give you a cut. LOL
