Default Nitto 555 question...

I just bought some new drag radials for my Z and and I'm going on a long trip, should I put my stock tires back on or do the 555's hold up prety good to wear as long as I'm not buring rubber? How many miles can I expect out of the Nitto's?
Thanx you guys!

I'd say if your trip is less than 200 miles; leave the Nittos on. If it's more than that I would put the stockers back on. The Nittos are very soft and even under normal driving will not last more than ~16K miles.

IMO put the OEMs back on. Mt BFG DRs suck in the rain bad, and I would assume Nittos are the same. Better to be on the safe side. Rain in the Z is cool anways but with DRs, forget about it. Get another set of rims and then swap for the track.

PS how do you like them? How much did they improvve your 60'?

The Nittos are fine in the rain, I run them on my car full time. I would however switch over if you have that option. The Nittos will pick up everything on the road and since your not doing any launches aren't necessary. Switch'em and save'em for when your really going to need them.

I'll be going to LA and back to Vegas so I'm talking about a 1000 miles or so. If they last more than 10K miles I'll be .
For some reason I keep hearing that the Nittos are good for 5K miles?
