to reattaching the airbridge to the top of the radiator shroud? I installed a Blackwing a few weeks ago, and could never get the two pins back in. I'm thinking that from the Blackwing back to that point is just too long, since the pins don't line up with the holes. There's a coupler (rubber hose, essentially) between the Blackwing and the MAF that had to be trimmed to 1.75", which I did, but it's still too long. And I don't want to cut too much off of it and not be able to hook everything together so it'll be held by the clamps.
Mine never completely seated when I was running the Blackwing but it didn't hurt anything. I totally pulled the plastic studs out of the top radiator shroud when I put my cf airbridge in. No harm.
I'll try either removing the bushings on the Blackwing, or removing the pins on the airbridge ... and maybe a little more tweaking on the alignment where components are clamped together. Right now, it's 'pooching' the center of the hood up a little in the front. Since some have not had this problem, it could be that the pins on all C5's were not aligned with exactly alike, causing the assembly to stand up somewhat.
Try loosening the clamps on the blackwing & the throttle body, push the airbridge into place, then tighten your clamps. If you have the clamps tight before hand it tends to put the airbridge in a bind.

I noticed this on mine when I installed the Blackwing. I finally was able to adjust the air bridge to where it sat down on the pins almost as good as before. Took a lot of cussing to get it there though.

I guess those of us with the 97-00 cars are the lucky ones in this case. The Blackwing install for my car was a simple plug and play, everything lined up just like it came from the factory that way. I have it attached on the factory pins both on the top of the radiator and the front and didn't have to cut anything. I'll remember this the next time I recommend a Blackwing to someone :o

I had the same problem when installing mine.
I went back and loosened all the clamps - positioned the blackwing on the studs (it worked) - and the retightened all clamps.
