I get this noise when I am driving on the highway...sounds like it is coming from the driver side latch (front), but I can't tell. It just sqeaks or pops (it is a glass top). I tried taking the top off and reinstalling with no luck. Anyone else had this problem? I bought the Vette in July, and it never made this sound until I first took the top off.
Take silicone and spray it where the latches latch. My squeaked and creaked until I did this. Don't know if you have the same problem but it worked for me.
You can also try some silicone grease on the rubber weather stripping. This could help if it is not the latches.
Mine made similar noises and I moved the latch levers towards the unlatched position a little and the noise stopped. That at least told me that was the latches, and not the weather stripping.
Might double check its not the vanity mirror ... I though mine was the top and after a while figured out it was the vanity mirror ... very annoying but if I swivel it about 1/4 the way down the squeaks go away for the most part ...

I had a weird rattle on my top until I finally figured out it was something I had clipped to the sun visor and the back of the clip was vibrating against the top.
Mine had a similar noise when I would enter or exit where I live, it was on a nice steep slope. I isolated it to the passenger latch and put a small piece of rubber (from a cover to an RCA jack) on the guide pin and tightened her down, viola, no more squeak!
Say Ryan...I had that same problem. I bought Lithium Grease at the auto store. I sprayed both latches on my top and never had a squeak since then.

I had this same exact problem that started about this same time last year and it drove me nuts. I tried everything including adjusting the latch handles and striker plates, spraying the weatherstripping with silicone, etc. The noise was definitely in the driver's side latch as it would briefly stop if I unlatched it and relatched, but would quickly come back.
The solution that killed this noise is to spray white lithium grease on the small roller in the striker plate. It appears that the roller starting having a bit of play over time and would move slightly causing the clicking/popping sound. Once I sprayed it real good, the noise was gone and has stayed gone.
