Default c-6 seats

does anyone know if the new seats in the c6 will fit in the c5? Since the c5 seats are often criticized and the new ones are supposed to be a major improvement maybe it would be a good upgrade? thanks

I don't think they will fit. Have you seen the C6 seats It may be an upgrade over the standard seats, but I don't think they look as good as the C5 sport seats. JMO

Good question. No one to my knowledge has asked this question before and no one has posted about doing this. Since the C6 is so new, probably not many opportunities to do this yet. It would be interesting to find out though.

The C6 seats ARE a lot better... It would be interesting to see if they will fit. Especially with the POS rocking seat issue we have...

I haven't pulled a set to know, but I've looked at it and the bolt holes seem to be in the same place.
You need to keep in mind that the C6 seat has air bags in the outside shoulders.

Except the 1SX seats don't have side bags, cost wise if they fit this would be the way to go. Jeff

I was wanting to ask the same question! It's a real shame they put such a terrible seat in such a great car

Have you actually sat in the C6 seat? The one I tested the seat was narrower by a significant amount as well as the bottom being shorter (less thigh support). I'm not sure who said they were an improvement but I sure didn't think so. I have read that they are supposed to offer better side bolstering and for very small butted folks that may be so but if your average or better in the rear end dept. they offer no side bolstering at all
cause you'll be hanging over on the sides. That's not my opinion that's an actual seat of the pants observation.

This thread is slowly getting hijacked, but I will say the C6 seats are a major improvement. I only have 1000 miles on mine, but I love the way you fit in the seats. They fit you versus letting you slide around like my C5. I have had some big guys in mine and they all made comments about how nice the seats feel, and how they like the fit and the fact that the seat seems to envelope them and hold them in place.

I haven't sat in a C6 seat, but I like my C5 seats. They are very comfortable. I know it's not even in the same class, but you should try my Jeep Liberty ... it's like sitting on a stool.
