Hope I'm not but I'm still unsure about this. I want to paint my calipers, all the pics i've seen here look fantastic. And lots of different products have been used. I would feel more comfortable brushing the paint on and some folks have used Rustoleum paint. Will this burn or melt off and screw things up? Thanks!

Don't know about the Rustoleum.
I used a Duplicolor Caliper Paint Kit from Walmart. It came with everything needed although I ended up using my own masking tape and paint brush. Cost something like $8 - $10 if I remember correctly.
Worked great for me and no peeling or melting paint thus far.
Go to Walmart and get the caliper paint for about $14. You can brush it on and it has caliper cleaner in the kit Looks as good as any I have seen and it's easy to apply
I did the Rustoleum ("caution red") with brushes, two coats. It looks great, although if I had to do it again, I'd put some clearcoat on too for more gloss. In fact, I still may do it.

Rustoleum works fine. Preparation and taking your time is more important than the brand of paint. Don't forget to paint the "hats" on your rotors.

PM ccajun4real about painting the calipers..... If you are local to NC he can hook it up for cheap and lower your ride as well.
Havn't painted my calipers on my C5 yet, however I have used VHT before and it looks great and it holds up well. I have been wondering about Rustoleum (SP) as well since the calipers don't get that hot, like the rotors do...do they?

I used Rustoleum on mine, and had absolutely no problems. I taped everything else, and acturally sprayed it very carefully. After they dried I used a sanding/detail pen (also available at Wal-Mart) and sanded off the CORVETTE Lettering. Looks good, and many compliments.

No. The rotors get hot but the caliper does not. You don't need heat paint for calipers.

Lots of options to painting the calipers. I chose to go with Folia Tec from Xtreme Motorsports - has been on there for three years and still looks like new. Expensive, but it does last.
