Front Nose Plate
I need an electron blue nose plate to cover the license plate recess, do these come color matched from the dealer or am I going to have to have it painted when it arrives? Also are their any friendly competent dealers who fairly discount their factory parts.

I expect it will need to be painted if ordered from a dealer. I've seen used ones on ebay. You might want to check there before hitting a dealer for one. As to who offers price breaks, that's a matter of shopping around. If you belong to a Corvette club, they typically have relationshsips with dealers, especially if one is their sponsor to help members save a buck or two.

They need to be painted. I would post in the Parts section that you are looking to buy one in Electron Blue. Who knows, maybe someone will see it and have one that they can't use since they need a front license plate.

Thanks for all the replies, I ordered one from Superior Cheverolet (excellent service and price) and I'll have to get it painted. Any further tips on having a paint shop make up a small paint bomb for me to spray or other methods to get it color matched? barondw, the car was purchased used from a non-Chevy dealer, I inquired about the plate and they did not have it.
