Side Marker Removal

Remove the outer taillights and reach in through the hole. 2 nuts hold the sidemarker housings in. If yours are like mine were, you may break the plastic studs of the stock sidemarkers off trying to loosen the nuts. I think the nuts were either 7/16" or 10mm, I don't recall for sure.
The pass side can be a pain if you have a vert due to the power antenna.

You can do it like Y2Kvert4me mentions or take the fender liners out. I need to replace one of mine (stud broke off when I was cleaning the car) and I think I will try the tail light method first.
