Default Cutouts?

Does anyone have pictures of their cutouts from before the cats?

I want to run dual electric cutouts before my cats. I have tpis long tubes, and GHL exhaust.

Thanks!

I have never seen anyone succeed in placing them there on a C5. There is just no room. I tried placing them in place of the cats using FLP's cutouts and electric valves - not enough room in the expanded portion of the central tunnel for this setup. I ended putting them next to the tranny.

How did your muffler shop mount them with such precision? Did they measure or 'beat to fit-paint to match'? Very impressive setup. Looks like all custom made flanges as well.

I'm 1/2 a hair thickness from doing mine!

Patches is the one who talked me into it. His instructions and pictures are fantastic. For us mere mortals that do not have his machine shop skills, I'd suggest just taking out the cigarette lighter and putting the switch in it's place. (You don't smoke in the Vette, do you? )The other thing I did differently was to mount the cutouts right behind the rear end. There is enough room to tuck them up behind the center well of the trunk. You cannot see them from behind, but you sure do hear them. The only bad part about my setup is that I didn't anticipate a fellow forum member giving me his B&B PRTs. Now my stock muffler/ cutout setup sits on the garage floor.

Do you have any photo's of them?

My C5 has B&B PRT's with 4 quad oval tips, and they sound really nice, but all these punk Mustang and Ricers kids want me to give it a go with them. Would be nice to silently open up the exhaust, rev to 5000, wink, smile then let them win by a couple of car links off from the light... They would be grinning all day long... .If they ONLY knew!
