A how-to won't be very helpful. You can see how many people have answered. This is not a high tech job, but you have to pay learning costs to get the experience to be good at this. Nobody can teach you over the Internet how much glue, how tacky it must be to grab right, how long to wait to get the right tackinesss, how much or how little to stretch this section, etc. If you have not done this before, I would not attempt it on your pride and joy. Even pros can make a mess of it.
It is worth it to pay $$ to get this job done right. You can watch and know how to do it next time, but even then you cannot get very good at it. It is very easy to rip it, get glue in places where you definitely do not want glue, get it to stick at places where it should not be stuck, scratch up the metal surround pieces, or not seat it properly and leave air or water leaks.
Been there, done that, but luckily with other very old cars I was working on.
