Help me out. I have a Canadian sold vette and I want to rid it of TS. I first did the resistor thing and the result was that the headlights did not go on in the dark automatically. The problem was that they wouldn't come on even with the normal headlight switch in the ON position. I know I had the correct resistor.
I then took it to the dealer and had my service rep, who was actually pretty cool about it, take the tech-2 unit, attach it and remove the RPO Z49 code. Now in the DIC I can turn off the TS. However, the same problem as above exists. I can't get the lights to go up by turning the headlight switch. In fact I can be driving down the road at night and if I turn off TS then the lights go out and pop down.
What am I missing in my search to solve this problem? Is there some relay or some other decision-making-box that is messed up???
I recently bought my Vette and the previous owner told me he went in to the DIC and programed the headlights not to work with the TS. So far so good. Is the Canadian Vette Differant? Jimmy

Yes, On a Canadian vette you cannot turn the Twilight sentinel off from the DIC unless you go to GM like Ag_bullet did or by using another programmer. There are a few other difference between the US model and Canadian model such as speedo is 300 mph/kph. Also a Canadian C5 comes almost fully loaded, the 1SA option package was the same as the US 1SC minus the HUD.
