Man how I hate hit and runs. Mothereffers like that need to get shot in the ***** a few times. If you don't have insurance or aren't responsible enough to pay for your mistakes while driving, then sell your effing car and walk your stupid *** everywhere.

 

oh try to take out an ad in a local newspaper asking for any witnesses. try to catch that **** and fry his *** good.

 

time to install a rear camera that records footage on a 96 hr tape.

Sorry to see this - looks like the clipped your back end pretty good. It's unfortunate that nobody "saw" anything and could help you out here. Hope Geiko comes through for you and you get the car back in shape.

 

THATS JUST NOT RIGHT!!!

 

Well today was the claim day. The Geico adjuster at first said "we can fix that, there is no need for new fenders" Oh man was I ready to knock his azz out! But I kept it in and just said "look dude this is a vette not a civic, this is my baby. look at these cracks and there is missing chunks of fiber glass. How the hell can you fix that?" "Well sir any thing can be fixed" then a nanosecond later he called over a body guy for an opinion. He looked and confirmed that I needed new panels. I did take the car to a dealer ship and got a quote from them for 2700.00. Geico gave me 2077.00 then my 500.00 deductible. So 1500.00 for my pain! Not enough in my opinion. But I did get the hook up at my Best friends moms, friends shop. I have seen their work and truly show quality. So I am having the car repainted torch red. They are taking the car apart completely and painting piece by piece. He said this should take about 4 weeks. But I dont care as long as she is done right! I have I have to come out of the pocket $2500.00 of my own money but it should be worth it. Now time to find a high rise hood! I will post some pic's of the finshed work.

 

I have had 2 vehicles hit while sitting in my parking spot at home. I know who did it the first time, but the police said with no proof there was nothing they could do. So I got to eat the expense.

Second time a neighbor saw it, chased them down and made them come back, went and got me. Police go there, obviously know nothing about cars and damage. Even with the witness who told the cop how hard the car was hit, skidmarks where it was pushed (manual in reverse, emergency brake on) about 8 inches long. The "person" and I use that term VERY loosely, said the car sometimes lurches and I didnt know I hit anything, just thought the car "lurched".

My neighbor told the cop BS, it was LOUD, (neighbor wears hearing aids and did NOT have them in and he heard it clearly from 20 foot away) he looked up saw her looking over her shoulder just pushing the car. Then she puts in in gear and starts to just leave.

So, long story, but the point is, even with a witness, the cops are just as likely to do NOTHING. By the way, she also did not get a hit and run because she didnt "know" she hit it, and she did come back. (duh, she lives across the street from me).

Good luck with the repairs, after 3 months of trying to get her "appraiser" from insurance to do something I still havent had him look at the car. (not geico though, so good luck)

 

Sorry for the misfortune. Hope the insurance will take care of the damages without too much money out of your pocket.
