Default '04 Z popped a T.C. code.....

*repost from Z forum*.....

So i'm heading home tonight after visiting with a friend and it's about 2am. It's started to rain just a little bit, making the roads a little slick. Anything below 50 degrees with my Halltech intake and exhaust, the Z really breaks the tires loose easily - There's a little church with a circular parking lot across the road from my cul-de-sac so i figure "what the hell..." and pull in to have some fun before i go to bed. Took the Traction Control off and lit the tires up (the first time really nicely since i've had it). I'm in second gear and do a couple of doughnuts in the parking lot. Yeah, i'm sure everyone loved the sound of my Borla's at 2am at about 4-5k RPM's. Anyway, all kidding aside and with it out of my system now, i pull away to cross the street into my development, and i get a "Service Traction Control" code. As i'm driving i try dis-engaging and re-engaging the TC a couple of times (It says it's off, and then on again- like it should) but alas- the DIC keeps flashing to service the TC. I'm thinking WTF just happened back there for me to F something up? (didn't hit the brakes, wasn't in Competitve driving mode or anything....and the whole thing lasted 10 seconds or less). So i pull into my driveway and shut the car off. After a few seconds, i start the car back up....and everything's fine. No codes, no nothing. This ever happen to anyone?? What could've happened? It's got a little less than 6k miles on it.

I think the message had something to do with teh donuts that you were doing. One wheel was probably quit stationary and confused the computer which inturn threw a code

God was punishing you for doing donuts in front of His house at 2 AM. Better watch out, next time it could be a lightening bolt.

Could be from doing the doughnuts. As long as it doesn't come back on, you should be OK.
