Dirty Calipers?
Trying to get my 2002 back in show room shape. Any ideas for getting the stock brake calipers looking like new?

Pint them with "caliper" paint. Duplicolor makes some as well as other manufacurers and you can choose from many colors!

Clean em and Paint em. You'll find a lot of good ideas in here that is for sure.

Take your wheels off, then spray down the calipers with some brake cleaner. Then take some steel wool and go over the calipers to take a lot of the crud off. after you get this done, wash the dust off then get some good caliper paint and paint away. Will make the wheel area look great.

I use that Orange Blast from walmart and just spray it on the calipers when the car gets a bath. The brake dust just rinses off.

If all you want to do is clean them, this will work fine.
If they are super cruddy then the brake cleaner will be needed.

Like the above states. Paint them gloss red and after it's done it will be easy to keep them clean. Why they paint them wrinkle finish I have no idea.

pick up at least 2 cans of brake cleaner, you'll be suprised at how much crap is in those. If you are going to paint them, plan on spending a few hours cleaning.
