Pulley Question

Default Pulley Question

I just bought an underdrive pulley with alternator pulley for my 99 FRC and was wondering if anyone could post some instulation instructions
it would be great. I have always found so much help and info on the forum, and i try to give back when i can, thanks on

This is a mod that I would most definitely combine with at least a cam swap due to the substantial labor involved. The gains from an UD pulley are modest at best so the effort/benefit ratio is not all that great. Most guys wait until they are ready to do a cam swap and add the UD pulley to the mix since it requires no extra work at that point.

Even so, if you're determined to go at it as a separate mod, go to ls1howto.com using the link below and use the head/cam swap tutorial to get you to the point you can change the pulley. Just disregard the head/cam portions.

I agree. There is alot of labor involved in swapping your crank pulley. I would look into installing a cam at the same time. It will only cost you another $500 or so since you are doing the instal. Kaley
