Make Sure its an electric leaf blower, and use it for the sole purpose of drying your car.. If you use it for anything else you my pick up dirt which will later be blasted at you car... But Mine works great, I can't wash my black cars without it anymore

It's the nature of the beast, but one should not complain. Wiping it down is just a parents duty.
Look at the pride on your face when you look into the finish and see your reflection.

I got a new HUSKY compressor for my birthday back in May. I go over the whole car with air, you'd be amazed at all the spots where the water collects.

I use a paper towel to pull the water out of the nooks and crannies of the mirrors, sidemarkers, and tail lights. (Note - not rubbing a paper towel on the paint - just soaking it out.)

I also have the mirror seals mentioned above, but usually I'm in the middle of my car wash before I realize that I forgot to put them over my mirrors!

I just turn my car upside down and shake it.

Is that wrong?

I use my big canister vac. I put my hand around the end of the hose so the hose doesn't touch the car......only my hand touches it. Then I vacuum up around the rear plate and tail lights, then the mirrors, then the gully around the rear hatch. It works well.

I wouldn't buy those mirror covers. Just use Saran Wrap. Works just as good. You can also use weather stripping around the lights to help minimize the water in the taillight wells. Good luck!

Try an air compressor or leaf blower to get the remaining water out. I take mine for a spin down the road and then wipe it all down. Seems to work as I don't get any water streaks on the car.

Since I typically pull out the vacuum to give the interior a quick clean whenever I wash the car I just reverse the airflow and blow out all those pesky spots. I Then use a towel to wipe under the doors where before I close them again. ..No water dripping from the taillights or mirrors and no water on the door sills

I leave the doors, hatch and hood open for a good 45 minutes as I'm doing all this. Small pain in the azz but it works pretty well.

For the mirrors, I drilled a small holes on the underside of each mirror.

You can't see the holes and they work like a champ.

I blow-dry the whole car at one time. About 135mph works every time. And it's much more fun that wiping it off.

www.mirrorseals.com

I bought a set for around $20.00 earlier this year. It's amazing to get done washing her and not have a single drop come out of the damn mirrors.

Best $20.00 I've ever spent.

Got a small "shop/car" blower about the size of a large hair dryer. Brand name Nikota (also other cheap tools made in China) usually sold at Pep Boys, Kragens, Chucks, etc. for about $10.00. Use it to blow water out of front/rear license plate surrounds (even if you don't run a front plate), side mirrors, tail lights, all seams and tires/wheels. You'll be surprise on how much water the C5 can retain after a wash. Although most leaf blowers probably have better blast of air, this small blower is really handy. Plus my leaf blower is a combination blower/vacumn which could blow small particles even after cleaning.

Default leaf blower - Mr Clean

If you don't want to use the covers... a couple of things.. .

I always dry my car with a leaf blower.. WORKS Great.. then wipe the windows with a microfiber towel..

I use the water filter from the Mr Clean system. This filters out the minerals etc from the water that leave water spots..

The blower and the filter works for me.. TORCH RED 2002..
