They are with the X-pipe. Without the X-pipe they are 25% louder. I like to hear my exhaust with the window rolled down. With the window rolled up, I only hear a slight hum when under low RPM load.

In addition, they have the best looking tips period! I am VERY pleased with my Magnaflows. They are worth every penny!

Allegro, did you see the post on the magnaflows I bought. One reason I went with them was the price, around 650 bucks, because I really did not know about the straight out the back design of them until after I bought them because every place has the wrong pic posted for them. Anyway you need a lot less pennies for these, they are lighter, louder, and stainless steel so they should hold up well.

$650.00 that can't be right! WCC has them for 1,000+ and 1,300+ with X Pipe! Please let me know before I order! I think I'm getting ripped!

freemanj, I just checked through my reciepts and here is my info.
magnaflow #15763
price with shipping $476.05

Full Line Exhaust, INC.

remember these are not the same design as you will see depicted in adds. They are glasspack style mufflers, xpipe, dual tip. They run straight over the axle and straight out the back of the car.

The magnaflow system I have is much different in design than these two magnaflows. I have never seen a picture of my system anywhere though so I can only describe it to you. Do you know what glasspacks look like. Well these have 4" glasspacks, and X pipe and are true dual tips. They run from the header or manifold directly over the axle and straight out the rear of the car. This eliminates the 4 90 degree turns of the standard cat back or the stock system. They are light and loud.
I like them and they are real cheap.

I went to several muffler custom muffler shops and was told a number of times that the quality of the magnaflow was excellent and that the low rumble sound with little resonance would be what I got. I really like the system on my 04 auto coupe. When you jump on it, the magnaflows really growl, but for everyday driving they are just right. If you are wanting a less aggresive sound (until you really want it) than the magnaflows are a great choice. I have flowmasters on my '80 and the magnaflows remind me of that classic muscle car sound.

Not the model I have stuart, check out the links I provided, mine have the xpipe and are stainless steel and you can get them right now at the prices I posted. The ones you are looking at are different models.

Most everyone is talking about model # 15660 or # 15713 which sell for a grand plus. They are superb. The other system has glasspacks instead of traditional mufflers and is an apples to oranges comparison. Both systems are excellent quality since they are made my Magnaflow, but they are different.
If you are interested in Magnaflow send me a PM and I will tell you where I got mine. Another member told me about a company that is MUCH cheaper than the forum vendors.

Thats what I have been saying since my first post. I love the glasspacks and the straight out design, and the weight savings, but I really like the price.

Speak Up!
I have Magnaflows with x-pipe. Sound great. UP front I have B&B shorty headers. There was a significant SOP difference with the exhaust and then again with the shorty headers. The sytem is fairly loud at WOT, but quiet while cruising. I like it.
