Default Hobby shop...

Has anyone been involved in a hobby shop with others?

I've had to sell most of my toys since our switch to a condo. Consequently, I was hoping that others have had some experience with organizing a rented or owned building dedicated to the serious hobby guy.

I think maybe his intent is to have a place to work on his C-5. I am retired from the Navy and during my career I used the Base hobby shop on numerous occassions. They were usually well equipped and always clean and well kept.

Now that I am retired I built a house with a four car garage and a huge hobby shop in my basement. It is such a joy to go down there and see and work on my "baby". It never gets colder than 65 and never gets hotter than 75 down in the basement.

Good luck with your hobby shop!

Ahhh now it makes sense! I do remember having such a place when I was in the Army. But I haven't heard of any in civilian life. I'd guess the liability insurance would eat you up...

why is this off topic??????a lot of people work on their own cars and if several guys went in together and shared to cost of the tools and equipment, we could do more. I've used the base hobby shop a couple of times and it's good to have access to it, unfortunately, most people don't.

Took me a while to figure out what the acronym meant...

Going forward I'll only ask questions about weenie wings and billet mud flaps.
