OMG I'm scared need advice
Now this isn't good news. I am no mechanic but the way it was described to me is that I am looking at a lot of money to fix.
They said it is most likely either a bad bolt which would cost a few hundred due to labor or a bad crank which would cost many THOUSANDS.
I bought this car Oct 15 2004 w/ 19672 miles on it.
The dealer gave me a 90 day / 3000 mile warranty
Today I have 22332 miles on it
So according to me I should be under warranty.
Their warranty say's the following items are covered... Internal Engine parts, Auto transmission, axle bearings/differentials, brakes, fuel pump and water pump.
Do you guys think I'm covered?
Given the above information, I would appreciate any and all advice as to how to approach this situation with the dealer and have them cover the problem.
I am really pulling my hair out over this one. I mean the car is a 2000 coupe, it only has 22332 miles on it. I should not be going thru this right now.
Man I feel like I am going to go into labor over this...
Heeeeelp

Then you could come back here for sympathy when he refuses to fix it....
If it is a dealer warranty, common with a used car purchase, and it is just a loose crank bolt (not uncommon), then it might not be covered, since this could be considered not internal to the engine. If the crank, it should be covered, since the crank is inside the engine.
if so, what year is your car. my 03 had the problem, but i was told that gm compensated for the issue of wobbling harmonic balancers on 03's and that they really didn't need to be replaced.
i had mine done anyway, so check with the dealer to make sure.
