I'd like to Thank Rodney<crashed 94>, for all the help he's been to me in the last few weeks! I broke my car a few weeks back http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...=stangkiller18 and with Rodney's help i was able to remove the transmission on my own in my garage. Rodney gave me his personal cell phone number so i could call him with all of my questions! Infact Rodney called me to check up on the process several times. The new differential is AWESOME, but this 500mile break in is torture! And to top it all off he gave me an excellent price! I was finally able to enjoy the great weather with my vette, so bright and early this morning I had the roof off cruising to Daytona Beach!
Thanks again Rodney!
BTW, i went to Daytona to arrange the Winter Jam III at the Rolex 24...It's going to be an Awesome trip! including an infield tower, food, and a Corvette Corral!

Oh My Gawd- I'd be scared to tackle that one! That took some determination!
When you get into it, and have somebody like Rodney to answer all you questions, it really wasnt bad, I had 3 people help me take it out and I did it over night by myself to put it back in.
I went with 3.73's I allredy was running an M12 that he built a few months ago for me. I can't believe how big of a difference the 3.73's made. Going 80 i'm crusing at about 2100 rpms, still quite reasonable for fuel economy.
Awesome work on your own. I do all my own restorations, but that's 60's and 70's El Caminos. This is gonna be a whole new world.
Honestly if you can turn a wrench and are good at puzzles....it's really no problem at all, I will be doing this job again when i isntall a new motor. It is definitly a little easier when there's two people, just to help balance things on the jacks, but still managable by yourself.
Yeah, I'll be ripping my tranny out here in a couple months to do a clutch install. Most likely in my garage on jackstands. Hopefully all will go well. I'm not paying someone $$$ to do a clutch.
I've heard ONLY excellent things about Rodney before. He would be the one to choose if I ever have trans problems....
