YES! Purchased my 1st MY Corvette Coupe in 2000 (when I was 37), purchased 2nd Corvette Coupe (a 1997 Speedway (or Artic?) White, in 2003, and just added 3rd Corvette Convertible (2000 MY) in November 2004! We are at the age now where we just consider 'additions' to the fleet!!
I got my first one, my 75 coupe when I was 16 and put in new interior and detailed the engine. Then I got my 89 when I was 18 and just entered college. I got my 99 when I was 22, right before my last semester of college. I'm still 22 and just graduated from college and still have all three. They will all be paid off by me tommorow. Unfortunatly, I'm going to have to sell my 89 to buy a 4x4 for this winter. My dad still has his 64 coupe that he bought in 1970 and met my mom while driving it in 1971.
Luckily, my first one is the least valuable Corvette right now, so the temptation to sell it will be minimal. Way more sentimental value than monetary value.
I bought my first Vette, a 1982, about 7 years ago. I bought a 2004 this year. I love the 04 and still have the 82. I plan on leaving it to one of my sons. I get attached to my cars, especially the 82. Age: 51.
I bought my first Corvette in 1972, the 63 in the avistar.
I sold it this May to buy the '99 Torch Red that I have now.
I loved the '63 but the '99 is much nicer for traveling in.
Some people have both but now that I'm retired I had to make the choice.
This is my first corvette and I am planning on keeping it forever
Forever is a very long time. But you can always do what my father did and buy one for each child. Luck for me I go the best of the bunch. A 1960 he bought new. I have no intentions of selling this car in my life time.
I do not have the first corvette I ever bought myself a 4000 mile aluminum head 86 silver coupe.
I own a used car lot so I cheat a little but I have had about 40 Corvettes. I just keep upgrading.
I do have the first corvette I ever bought new. Again with no intention of selling in my life time. A 03 vert ordered new and built on my birthday 11/22/02. Museum delivery.
As for the wife/ house. We all make our own choices. If we decide the car must go its your decision. I decided to keep the cars and work harder to get the homes etc. The sig other knows the Corvettes are not going anywhere so she has adapted well.

Still have the 1st one, a 1982 which I've had for 10 years ... fixing everything that can leak all over again now! My 2003 AE is a better machine, but the C3 sounds like a Vette should - with factory exhausts!
I bought my first when I was 18, it was a 78' L82 4spd. Since then I've sold it along with a few others, 73'76' and a 77'. Back earlier this year I bought a 69' vert 4spd. I love to drive it but its not a car to take on trips. So we bought a new 04' back during the summer. Its the medium spiral gray. I will not sell these two cars. The 04' is the first one I've bought new and I plan on keeping it. I'm am now 27.
I have my first Corvette (04 vert) I ever bought but I've only had it since June 04. If it counts this is my second chevy, here is a picture of my vert and my very first chevy.
Still got my '77 (my first I bought 3 years ago) & my '04 vert I bought last year. Wouldn't trade neither for anything. Looking for a mid C2 now.
I'm 40.
Just got my dream realized about 3 months ago. Was fortunate enough to take it out to the speedway and 'learn' all about the car. Amazing machine - simply amazing!
Now that I am hooked it is probably #3 in line of priorites. My kids, vintage airplanes, and now my Corvette. I may go for a newer one (current is a 99 MN6) one day, but can not see a driveway/garage without a vette in it!
They will have to pry my cold dead hands from the wheel to not have one. OH, BTW - I'm 57
