I replaced the original GY EMT's on my 2000 with Michelin ZP pilot sports and have loved them ever since. The Michelin ZP are much better tires than the orginal GY EMT's. The ride tremendously better and seems to handle better also. The car seem to drive like a totally different and better car. There is no way I will ever have the GY EMT's on my car again. I should have replaced them as soon as I bought the car.

I replaced my 50,000 mile EMT's with Pilot Sports.I prefer the more precise handling of the EMT's over the more mushy handling of the Pilot Sports. The Pilots Sports are as good as the EMT's in rain and snow. The noise may be slightly less with the Pilot Sports on good roads, about the same on bad roads. The price of the Pilot Sports was less than the the EMT's. The Pilots Sports are more sensitive to tire pressure than the EMT's. These are my opinions based on 50,000 miles on EMT,s and 3,000 miles on Pilot Sports. Your opinions may vary. I do not know which tire I will buy next, if price and mileage were equal it would be the EMT,s.

Wow, I was hoping for better feedback on the Michelins', as I am considering them for my EMT replacement too. There must be a run flat tire that is quieter, smoother, and has better dry traction than the EMTs. I was assuming Michelin ZP's were the best replacement for about the same cost, and the Kumho's were the best if you are on a tight budget.

What is a better EMT replacement tire (if dry traction, low road noise, and less bumpy is your goal) than the Michelin or Kumko?

I can add two more opinions:
1. I HATE the way they look on the car.
2. The ride is noticeably better over bumps. It is inversely proportional to the loss in precise handling.

I plan to replace the tires with C6 tires in C5 sizes, once available ofcourse.

I've heard good stuff about them from Forum members. I plan on replacing my EMT's with the ZP's when the time comes.

Default yep

Got the pilot Sport a/s zp. Much, much better ride and handling. Car seems to stick alot better in the turns with active handling not kicking in no where close as the factory tires. I'll buy them again for sure.

I replaced the Goodyears with Michelin ZP's at around 46,000 miles. at this point the GY's are so worn out a bicycle tire would perform better
