Default Lgm 427???

I am looking at a Z06 locally with what I am told is an LG Motorsports 427. Anyone have any experience with this engine and can provide any specifics???

Thanks

Can't help you with the Z although anything from LGM is, by definition, good.

I will say, however, that you have an awesome C4.

I have not heard anything bad about LGM. We have C5R-427 in our C5 & it is an awesome ride.

Thanks guys. I am struggling. I need to pull the engine on the C4 due to rings. Do I spend more $ and drop in something wicked or buy this LGM 427???? Perhaps the known evil (C4) is a safer bet than the unknown evil (LGM427)?? I am trying to find some more info on this particular C5

Post in the SE section of the Forum, possibly someone local has information on the car.

If it were me, I'd go for the C5 vs sinking additional money into the C4. Even with your mods to date, there is nothing like a C5, with a 427 (the Mag Red below has one )

Find out what car it is. Was it the one done two weeks ago? Then why is it for sale?

I would probably go with the 427 Z now .....and work on the C4 as the funds become available. Find out how that 427 has been run and you can go from there.

I called LGM and they have no way of verifying it's theirs. The current owner has had it only a year and put 1500 miles on it. I will try and track down the original owner. It also has nitrous that the current owner said he never used but who knows how many bottles have run through it? Also, LGM says that there's many different versions of this engine so without dyno tests, paperwork, etc... I won't know what I've got!

They can't track it down by VIN?

Do you think LGM would give me a 427 if I take care of their IT stuff going forward?

LG Motorsports is a very reputable vendor. While I can't vouch for this particular engine in this car, they do awesome work and I've not heard about any problems. Good luck if you decide to make the purchase.
