How does the magnaflow exhaust compare to a corsa exhaust. I am looking for good sound and more hp for my 01 vette

What do you recommend? And what is the price range? Depending on the cost I may go all the way to the heads and do the entire system.

You ask 10 different people which exhaust is better and you'll get 10 different answers! You have to just see for your self!

If you like a low note, the Magnaflow will be music to your ears. If you like the rip of a high note better, you will like the Corsas better.

If look are important to you then Magnaflow wins and the Magnaflows are a straight through design with less restriction.

I love mine!

How can you get any less restrictive than Corsa? They have no baffles at all... you can roll a billiard ball through the entire system, end-to-end.

I was not aware that corsa had no baffles. are you sure about this?
you can do the same thing with magnaflow.
Magnaflow looks better.......sounds like a v8 should........no boat motor sound at idle.
Superior build quality.......comes with its own exhaust plate ( a true exhaust plate) which is very nice and uses no double sided tape crap.
mirror finish, lifetime warantee. flawless installation, and aligns perfectly.
Excellent system probably the premiere system as corvette goes.

I have Corsa Indy's, Random Tech cats, and QTP long tubes. The sound is just great, and as lots of people say on this forum, it's all about what YOU like. For me, the combination of QTP's and Corsa's works, on performance, sound, and looks.

Yes, I'm sure. They use sound cancellation chambers (i.e., tuned ports that dead-end inside the muffler case) to tone things down.

I agree with you about the Magnaflow quality and sound. If it weren't for the fact I already had a carbon fiber exhaust plate, I probably would have gotten one. As it is, I have the Corsas connected to a Magnaflow X-pipe, and have no "motorboat" sound.

I have the Corsa Indy system and a buddy of mine has the Magna-flow. They sound different without a doubt. The Corsa sounds more exotic, where the Magna-flow sounds a deeper. I think the Indy system at WOT is surprisingly loud (that's a good thing! ), but at cruise at 75mph, it's nearly silent.

It is really a matter of preference. The Corsa system is a high quality beautifully made piece, as is the Magna-Flow. Personally, I think the 3.5" Pro-Tips on the Corsa are just about the best looking tips made. I routinely receive a lot of compliments on the appearance!
