Default 350Z beside me

Stopped at a light next to a new 350Z still had dealer plates on it. Looked like a mom and her son. The kid looked about 12. I was on her drivers side and the kid practically crawled over her looking and pointing at my car I could see him mouthing the words Wow, Cool, Corvette. Then he waved at me I smiled and waved back. Mom glanced over and then back at the car she had chosen. And the kid continued to check out the one he had.

A couple of guys I work with have them - they freely admit the 350Z is no Vette, but they handle pretty darn good and for a 6cyl, they are pretty quick!

Don't 'ya just love the way kids react to Vettes?

I had a "73 240 and a "79 280 2+2. Both were decent cars. When I drove the 350 it was a lot different and noticably more jittery. I drove the competition model and maybe that made a difference but between my C-5 and the 350.. the 350 is jittery and visibality not very good. Not to mention the uh.. get up and go of the Vette !

I came very close to buying a 350Z. Then while I was home visiting
my mom and dad my best friend come over to the house in his new Z06 and gave me the keys. It was the first sports car that I have driven
in a long time that got me excited. I have had my first corvette for
one year today. Glad I made the corvette choice.

Ever notice that most of the kids that love our Vettes are between about 10 and 15? Does that say something about our mental ages? Just wondered!

Love my Vette but these cars are very cool.
Here is one that was next to me at SEMA
It had a wide body kit on it and it was very well done

My wife is due to get the Infiniti G35 come the New Year. True it is not my Vette , but it will make a nice DD for me use . Sure beats her current Civic with less then 100Hp.

The reason the C5 isnt a DD is that there is no parking at work and it would suck to be paranoid every day every hour checking on the car.

The 350z is not a cheap car, and you can certainly find a corvette in excellent condition for the price of a new one.

My first car was a 260Z... only was made for 1 year I believe. I think it was a 73 but it may have been a 74. I have never seen another but would love to have one again. I also had a 280Z, 300Z 2+2 and a 300Z turbo..... But nothing compares to my 01 Vert, sadly said, not even my 82 C3.
