Maybe I am blind but, I can't seem to locate the factory storage location for the wheel lock key in my Z06. I know it's on the left side near the trunk rail under the carpet. But, I can't find a spot that appears like it should be used for storing the key.
Can someone post a pic of the spot I should be looking for?
Mine is in the air pump lid, and I keep it there. Makes it easy to get at when I change wheels. I did not do that today and slipped to a 12.5 Any one know where it should be?

Mid-way through the 2002 model year, Chevy stopped equipping the Z06s with wheel locks.
Mine was a May 2002 build and it came with chrome lugnuts and no locks.
Suggest you check your lugnuts and see if any have a lock. Alternatively, see if a standard 19mm socket will fit on the lugnut. If it does, none are locking-types...and therefore no key is necessary.

My car did not come with wheel locks as it's a late year '02. But, I have since added them an wanted to store the lock key in the factory location if possible. The location is even referenced in the owners manual.
I just can't figure out where the factory location is.
