Default Wheel Lock storage location?

Maybe I am blind but, I can't seem to locate the factory storage location for the wheel lock key in my Z06. I know it's on the left side near the trunk rail under the carpet. But, I can't find a spot that appears like it should be used for storing the key.

Can someone post a pic of the spot I should be looking for?

TIA

Mine is in the air pump lid, and I keep it there. Makes it easy to get at when I change wheels. I did not do that today and slipped to a 12.5 Any one know where it should be?

Mid-way through the 2002 model year, Chevy stopped equipping the Z06s with wheel locks.

Mine was a May 2002 build and it came with chrome lugnuts and no locks.

Suggest you check your lugnuts and see if any have a lock. Alternatively, see if a standard 19mm socket will fit on the lugnut. If it does, none are locking-types...and therefore no key is necessary.

Never looked for one on the Z but on the coupe it is in the indent for the trunk covers. An indent in the indent.

My car did not come with wheel locks as it's a late year '02. But, I have since added them an wanted to store the lock key in the factory location if possible. The location is even referenced in the owners manual.

I just can't figure out where the factory location is.

It is under the carpet towards the rear of the vehicle on the left side of the large center compartment.

My 03 does not have wheel locks, and didn't know there was a place to store the key. Learn something new every day.

I don't think so but, one could very easily be started.

GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and
Welcome Urban Meyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This next season should be very interesting.

I'll look in the center compartment for the location. I had been searching the left side small compartment and fender wall areas.
