The front of the C5R headlight does bolt into the frame. You have to drill a hole and tap it, or better yet, drill a hole and get a bolt with big threads that will just barely go through without tapping. The frame up front is not very thick and a tap will only add one or two threads to the hole, so it will strip out pretty easy.

ok thanks. i never bolted that front part of the lights to the frame. so every time i hit a bump they move up and down.
Yup, that sounds about right :-) The other thing to note is that my car only had one bolt holding the factory lights to the frame closest to the motor. There are two bolt holes there (and the C5R headlights has two slots for bolts toward the inside). My headlight bounce was significantly reduced by putting a second bolt in (I didn't have these, I just took my factory bolt to a hardware store and had them figure out the specs so I could buy two more from them).
