yep the title says it all crossing over the mississippi river bridge in baton rouge tonight to go eat out when just getting over the top theres an 18 wheeler (i hate these damn things) in the opposing oncoming lane with white smoke rolling out the exhaust stack well the white smoke was from the motor failing in some sort of way
anyways theres no avoiding the big plume of smoke thats engulfed the 6 lane bridge and as soon as i come out of the smoke (which was thicker than any fog possible natural or man made) i notice drops all over my front windshield i start to hit the wipers thinking it might be steam but decide against it
good thing i pull up at the restaraunt to find my car looking like a leopard from front to back (covered in oil)
well to make matters worst the place i went to eat was closed due to a private party
luckily i found a car wash right down the street from the restaraunt and got it off almost the biggest part is gone but i can still see what appears to be a film left over
guess ill be detailing tomorrow
needless to say i took the longer way home tonight to avoid having to go up the same lanes the 18 wheeler more than likely covered in oil(did i mention i hate 18 wheelers)they should have there own road and not be allowed to get off of it a$$holes think they own the road

Totally understand your feeling at the moment, but without these 18-wheelers, we wouldn't have much in the stores to buy to eat, wear, drive, or much of anything else...
they are not all that bad
im just fed up with them because its cane harvesting season here in louisiana so the roads are littered with cane and mud everywhere and the trucks arent maintained as well as they should because the more they haul the more money they make and we (the general public) are left with there mess and blown out tires r oil slicks in this case to deal with because they dont clean it up

Yeah, I hear you on that one. Seems like everytime I detail mine, there will be construction trucks leaving muddy dirty roads where I have to pass. Some firms are good about cleaning up the muck but some don't care...

Sorry about the mess. Glad you got most of it off. It might be that his engine just blew and he had to get off the bridge before he could stop. Maybe it was just bad timing.
Your lucky it was just oil. It's the ones that throw up stones or drop sand and gravel that will really mess things up. My wifes car got hit with a piece of a concrete block that was wedged in a trucks dual wheels.
