Just bought an 02' convert. Can't seem to adjust the passenger side temp control for the heater. Whatever I set the driver side at, the passenger side seems to do the same. Turning the **** for the passneger temperature makes no difference, nor does it show any temp on the indicator like the driver side adjustment does. The manual is pretty vague. Any thoughts?
I wish my 98 dual control worked like yours, at least it stays the same on both sides. Mine works fine on the passenger side but always stays cold on drivers side -
Just purchased my first Corvette, 2002. I listened to the CD Manual that came with it the other day. CD said that the passenger side temp adjustment is only +/- 5 degress different from the drivers setting.
You wont see any readings on the control when you set the passenger side. Like was said it just varies the temp +/- a few degrees from the drivers setting.

When you turn the passenger **** to set the temp manually, it won't display on the unit. It should, however, make a difference in the temp of the air coming out on that side. At least it does in my car. My wife is always cold and she turns the temp up on her control.

The Passenger **** biases the passenger vents +/- 5F from what the Main (Driver's) temp setting is set to. No display change will occur.
Inside the plumbing for the ventilation system, the ducting is split into two sections just above the blower unit and there are 2 doors - one for each zone (instead of 1 door on the base unit) to mix the hot and cool air independently for each zone based on the temp setting. The 2 doors move together in unison when the passenger **** is set to the neutral middle position. When the passenger **** is moved to bias that side of the dash vents, the internal door on the passenger side will move to allow more hot or cool air, i.e. if the passenger **** is turned to the max HOT position, the internal door for the passenger side of the ventilation plumbing will move it's max bias amount to allow more hot air than the driver's side door.

my dual zone seems to be permantely fixed to *MAX HOT* on the pass. side.
Resolution:
I fix her's to *MAX COLD* when riding in her 01.
