Custom gauge cluster rings pics inside
After some debating on whether I should spend the money and get some of those aluminum gauge cluster rings I decided to make my own.
The reason I didnt want to get the alumunim ones is because in night pics I have seen they slightly block some of the side mounted blacklight and some parts of the gauges are not lit at night. They are too thick. And ofcourse I wanted to save a few bucks and really didnt want to superglue something to my car.
So, I had a roll of aluminum duct tape laying in the garage. It took a few hours to make it perfect but in my opinion turned out as good if not better than what you all spent around a $100 on :-) The adhesizve on this tape is VERY strong infact I have it on a part of my HID projectors which goes from extreme cold to hot all the time. Shows no signs of coming off. It has a brushed aluminum finish. Hope you like it.

You know what they say about duct tape..."if you can't duct it, fu*k it."

Dumb question? I want to do this now too. Do I get it at the hardware store? What width did you get it in? Is the sticky side that you used also the shiny side? Can you email me with some tips and instructions please?

You used Duct Tape on your bezels? Man that's gutsy. I'd have to see it in person. But my hats off to you for your innovation. Merry Christmas.

Looks good in the photo, but I'd have to see it in real life to give it a 10.

DITTO!
However I don't have any of the issues you reported with my bezels. Maybe I'm just lucky or don't notice. Here's a close up of mine for fun.
